"Very professional and an excellent job all around! We had several cracks in our garage walls, and whenever it rained, we would get a steady stream of water coming through.
Jeremy was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. When he came to the house, he spent a significant amount of time thoroughly assessing the foundation, both inside and outside of the garage. He also gave us helpful advice on gutter placement and ways to keep moisture away from the garage walls going forward.
The previous owner had attempted to repair the cracks over the years using layer after layer of temporary patching material, so Jeremy had his work cut out for him! He spent the entire day sanding everything down, removing the old material, and properly repairing and sealing the cracks.
After the next heavy rain, we noticed one tiny leak from a crack that had been missed. I contacted Jeremy, and he came back that same week and sealed it—no hassle at all.
We’re extremely happy with the work and excited to finally move on to the next phase of our garage renovation. It’s such a relief not having to worry about water coming through the walls every time it rains.

"I found Jeremy Cousteau at Done Right Services online while looking for companies that had expertise in foundation repair and waterproofing of late 19th early 20th century homes with stone foundations.
We purchased our home - built in 1897 - 25 years ago. We encountered some relatively minor problems with water in a couple of small areas in the basement and were eventually able to fix these problem ourselves by redirecting water from the gutters away from the house.
We noticed that dampness in the basement was a problem, especially in spring and summer. I had read that stone foundations need to "breathe" and that meant that the stone could feel damp, so we installed a dehumidifier which definitely helped.
Over the last 5-10 years, we saw that in some areas where the original stone butted up to areas that had been covered or repointed with Portland Cement, there was some crumbling of the mortar and/or the stone and were anxious to find out if there was something we should be doing about it.
I had a few different contractors come and take a look. Although I emphasized that I was not interested in making the foundation walls look good but in creating a healthy, safe environment, this fell on deaf ears.I will spare you the long list of terrible cosmetic solutions or expensive, totally inappropriate proposals we got. However, a couple of contractors sincerely believed that removing only the crumbling cement or stone and then covering the w hole foundation with portland cement was the modern way to go. It certainly would be more affordable, but I was not convinced that the repairs would hold. The fact that only a five year warranty was offered reinforced my concerns.
Then I found Jeremy. I immediately realized I was not dealing with a salesman but with a man devoted to repairing/restoring older home foundations. He assured us that the foundation was safe and stable. He explained the nature of Portland cement and how it works differently than lime mortar and how this was creating the problems we saw. And he heard and reinforced my concern about the quality of air in the basement.
But here's the most amazing thing. Even though he thought a thorough process of removing all the Portland Cement and redoing the walls using lime-base products was the best solution, he understood that in our large basement the cost would be prohibitive for us, especially since we were in our mid-70s and would likely not stay in the house more than 10 years.
So he suggested a larger dehumidifiier with advanced mold-filtering features and a cleanup and removal of things in the basement that were subject to mold. There was no pressure whatsoever to do the full restoration. Remarkable!!!!
We feel that going forward we will have done our best to maintain the basement in decent condition for the next owners who might be better prepared to take on a thorough makeover."

"Had Done Right Services to our home to waterproof our basement. They do the job right! Tried and true technique and some good ole fashioned muscle. Chipped away the old mortar from the fieldstone, packed in new lime mortar and two coats of lime on the walls. Plus they removed our 75 year old “rat floor”, chipped and hauled away some ledge (because obviously) to make sure we had enough ceiling height at the end of the project and poured a new reinforced concrete floor.
